Dog Story:
Sadye, Sadye, sweet little lady!  Sadye has a sweet, quiet and affectionate disposition around her human companions and loves getting attention without being too demanding.   She is well mannered and house broken.  She mostly stays off the furniture and I have not seen her counter surf.  She has had the run of the house for shorter periods of time (3 - 5 hours) when no one is home without any problems.  We have not had to leave her for longer periods yet.  The family who found her tried leaving her in a crate when they had to be gone for a time and said that it did not go well so we think she has not been crate trained.  I have never heard her bark.  The family who found her has a 9 or 10 year son and Sadye was fine with him, but we have not seen how she is with younger children or cats.

It is a pleasure to walk her on a leash; she is well behaved, does not pull and has a lively gait that can best be described as almost prancing.  She is okay with other mellow  dogs that are not overly energetic and let her have her space and may be better with male dogs than female.  She gets along fine with our even-tempered male Brittany Mikey and surprisingly really hit it off with a younger male Brittany; they play like a couple of puppies.

It did take her a little over a week to settle in and become relaxed in our home and initially she was especially anxious at night.  She is perfectly fine now. If you think you would like to give this sweet girl a forever home please complete an adoption application and ask for Sadye from Minnesota

History:
Sadye was found walking down a highway in
Wisconsin.  She was very thin and seemed to have been "on 'the run" for awhile.  Efforts to find her owners were unsuccessful and she came home to Minnesota with the kind family who found her and cared for her and contacted ABR to find her a good home.  She was spayed on 10/26/09 and should be ready for her new home after she has had time to recover.
